Our continuing mission is to provide high quality, GI specialty healthcare to patients in the communities of Harford and Cecil Counties in Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania including York and Peach Bottom and South Western Delaware. Public Awareness Campaign Participation
Harford GI is a leader in the “Stop Colon Cancer Now!” Campaign. March is Colon Cancer Awareness month.
National Registries
Harford GI participates in giQUIC, a groundbreaking national initiative that tracs the quality of digestive health care. We are participating in a clinical data registry, MDIntergrative.com for gastroenterology specific data. We are now participating with the CDC National Health Care Surveys.

History of Harford Gastroenterology Associates
In 1983 Dr. Ashok Narang opened the doors of Harford Gastroenterology Associates at our first location in Forest Hill, Maryland. Over the years, the practice grew to include an ambulatory surgery center, the current day Harford Endoscopy Center.
In 2010 Harford GI expanded into Havre de Grace and opened a second location. Today both Harford GI and the Harford Endoscopy Center have offices in Bel Air, Maryland.
Harford GI patients who need hospital based care are scheduled for procedures at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
Patients not requiring hospital based care are scheduled for procedures at our sister practice, the Harford Endoscopy Center, an AMSURG-affiliated ambulatory surgery center for colonoscopy and EGD procedures on an outpatient basis.
